Our cookie and privacy policies

Cookie policy

What are cookies?

In real life, cookies are delicious baked goods – our policy on these is: yes please.

On the internet, cookies are small text files that are stored locally on your computer (or other electronic device) by your internet browser to help websites offer functionality that might need information about your previous actions online. A shopping website, for example, would use cookies to save the contents of your basket if you closed the browser without checking out.

How we use cookies

We use Google Analytics to keep track of who is visiting our website. This information is used to better understand our visitor requirements and interests and help us provide a better online experience.

Google has their own cookie policy available here.

We also use a small cookie so that every time you visit, you don't have to click away the banner telling you about cookies.

Consent

There is a notice on our website which informs visitors about our use of cookies and which requires visitors to accept or reject. If you click the accept button on the notice, you consent to our use of cookies for the purposes described in this website cookie policy.

How to turn off cookies

Many websites need cookies to enable their core functionality, but ours doesn't and it will act the same if you want to turn off cookies – you can do this in the privacy settings of your browser, but clicking the reject button on the notice will prevent the cookies being activated as well.

Google has a browser add-on to allow users to opt out of Google Analytics. More information about cookies can be found at the Information Commissioner's webpage (which also uses cookies).

Privacy policy

This privacy notice tells you what to expect us to do with your personal information.
